About Dylan
MORE THAN A MEDAL
2022 Australian of the Year, Dylan Alcott AO, is one of the world’s most successful and well recognised Paralympians, media personalities, motivational speakers and disability advocates. In 2021 he became the only male in any form of tennis to win the ‘Golden Slam’, winning the Australian, French, Wimbledon, US Open and Paralympic Championships, and he is a 4x Paralympic Gold Medallist in two different sports, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis. He is also a 15-times Singles Grand Slam champion in Wheelchair Tennis.
Dylan's story has never really just been about sport. It's about what happens when someone refuses to be defined by other people's expectations. Since retiring from professional sport, he has built a global platform around a single, uncompromising mission: to change perceptions so that people with disability everywhere can live the lives they deserve to live. That mission turns on court lessons around perspective, vulnerability and authenticity into off court tangible takeaways leaving audiences empowered. He’s funny, humble, electric and impossible to ignore.
